Why this happens
This error occurs when a journal code is shared or used before the onboarding process is complete. While a code is generated early in the setup, it does not officially "register" to a group until the initial user finishes the entire onboarding sequence. If the process is interrupted or the code is shared prematurely, the system won't recognize the key as valid.
How to fix it
To activate the code and resolve the error, the person who generated the code must:
Complete the onboarding: Go through all the remaining steps of the setup process.
Sign in: Log into the account at least once after finishing the setup.
Once these steps are taken, the journal code will be fully activated, and the "Invitation key does not match any group" error will be resolved.
